Romero Funeral Home and Cremations - Denver
Frank Anthony Casados
November 19th, 1946 - May 25th, 2025
Frank Casados Sr. went home to be with the Lord on May 25, 2025, surrounded by his loving family. Born in Mora, New Mexico, he made his home in Arvada, Colorado, where he lived until the day of his passing.
A proud soldier of the United States Army, Frank bravely served two tours in Vietnam. He was a highly decorated veteran and a two-time recipient of the Purple Heart. His courage, resilience, and dedication to his country remain an inspiration to all who knew him.
On April 29, 1967, Frank married the love of his life, Josie. Together they built a beautiful life and raised three children: Frank Casados Jr., Christina Padilla Casados, and Victoria Casados. He worked for the Denver and Rio Grande Railroad and later retired after a successful and honorable career with Union Pacific Railroad.
Frank loved the great outdoors, hunting, fishing, and spending time in nature were some of his favorite pastimes. But above all, his heart was with his family. He deeply cherished moments spent with his children, grandchildren, and great-grandchildren.
He was a stern yet devoted father, a man of few words, but when he spoke, people listened. His wisdom and quiet strength made him a mentor to many, both at work and within his family. His grandchildren looked up to him with great admiration and love.
Frank is survived by his wife Josie, his son Frank Casados Jr. and wife Georgina, his daughters Christina Padilla Casados and Victoria Casados, and his beloved grandchildren: Greg Casados, Frank Casados III, Giselle Padilla, Stephen Padilla, Philip Padilla, and Madalynn Casados. He is also survived by his great-grandchildren: Emilio, Aaliyah, Davina, Lyona, Bella, Xavier, Anthony, Angelo, Xamina, Lylia, Armani, Xaniah, London, Xalalie, and Grace. He now joins his granddaughter Maria in eternal rest.
Frank is also survived by his brothers Paul, Andy, and Arthur, and sisters Dora, Vickie, and Margie, along with many nieces, nephews, and extended family who loved and respected him deeply.
