Mary McCarthy of Venice, Florida, formerly of Bronx, NY, passed away on May 21, 2025. She was 90.
Mary worked for the phone company in New York City. Mary was born July 14, 1934 in CO Clare Ireland to James and Mary Frawley. Mary came to the United States and met the love of her life Thomas (Teddy) McCarthy and married shortly after.
When Teddy passed away in 1985, she was looking for a warm place to live and settled in Venice in 1991.
She is survived by her sister Matilda Burke. She is predeceased by her mother Mary, father James, sister Irene and brothers Brendan, Johnny, Jimmy, Patrick and Michael.
The Funeral Mass will be at Epiphany Catholic Church in Venice on Thursday, June 5, 2025 at 11:00AM. In Lieu of flowers donations may be made to the Venice Firefighter and Paramedics in her name. https://safehearts.us/donate-2/
