Diana Conway
April 14th, 1941 - May 28th, 2025
Diana Lee Conway (Clark, m.), of Westminster, Colorado, died of heart disease and cancer Wednesday, May 28, 2025, in Westminster. She was 84.
The daughter of Donald Lucian Clark (US Air Force Colonel) and Virginia Eileen Rutledge (Black, m.), she was born April 14, 1941 in Torrance, California. She married Donnie Jan Conway (US Navy S1) on June 16, 1967, in Palos Verdes, California and they moved to Colorado shortly afterward.
A high school graduate (Torrance High School 1958), she worked as an executive secretary and raised three children. Diana was an intelligent, driven person who enjoyed creating beautiful cross-stitch masterpieces and completing crossword puzzles, sudoku puzzles, and trivia games. She enjoyed her involvement in the Broomfield Elks Lodge where her husband served as Exalted Ruler many years ago, and both she and her husband spent many years on competitive bowling leagues.
After her husband Don passed away nineteen years ago to Parkinson’s disease, she moved to southern Arizona to be near her daughter Darcy and family before returning to Colorado with them about ten years ago. Diana spent her golden years traveling with other retirees, shopping and dining with friends, and snuggling with her spoiled rescue cat and a good book.
“She will be missed for her tenacious spirit, her enduring strength, and her ability to make friends with everyone who met her. Also, we will miss her delicious heirloom recipes like her cream cheese peach bread and pecan rolls every Christmas,” her family said.
Survivors include her son, Darren L. Conway (w. MacKenzie Conway, deceased) of Anaheim, Calif.; daughter Darcy J.C. Botham (h. Doug Botham) of West Arvada, Colo.; four grandchildren; four great-grandchildren; siblings (Sharon Kuri of Calif., Donnie Clark of Calif., Charleen Hinchcliff of Ore., and Vicki Seufer of Wash.); as well as Diana’s estranged daughter and family (Denese J.C. Gardner, h. Joel Gardner, and children). Diana was preceded in death by her parents, her husband, and her daughter-in-law.
There will be a private chapel memorial followed by a private burial at Fort Logan National Cemetery. Contributions in her memory may be sent to Elevation Hospice of Colorado, 7850 Vance Drive, Arvada, CO 80003.
