John Line, Age 75, of Cromwell, passed away on Sunday, June 16, 2025 at his home after a several year battle with cancer.
John Lee Line was born November 12, 1949 in Cloquet to parents, Rufus R. and Hazel Adeline (Smith) Line. He was one of nine children. John was raised and educated in Cromwell, graduating with the class of 1967. He then went on to join the US Army and served in Vietnam and Cambodia during the Vietnam War. He returned to the US, married Robin Steffer and to this union three children were born. John worked as a laborer in many factory settings and very much enjoyed his time, outdoors, hunting and gardening.
He is survived by his wife of 49 years, Robin Line; three daughters, Sarah, Trisha and Kim Line; his beloved dog, Sadie; five siblings, Frank Line, Kathy Olson, Donald Line, Linda Kedrowski and Laurie Conley; very close cousins, Roger and Lynn Line and Clifford Line as well as many other relatives and friends.
John is preceded in death by his parents; his siblings, Roland, Ina, and Jerry Line.
A gathering of family and friends will take place on Friday, June 20, 2025 from 1 to 3 PM in the Fireside room at Atkins-Northland Funeral home at 801 14th St., Cloquet, MN 55720. Military Honors at 2 PM. Burial will take place at a later date at the Minnesota State Veterans Cemetery Saginaw, Minnesota.
