Jean M Harrington

Jean M Harrington, 96 of Ocala and formerly Citra, FL passed away after a short illness, on June 21, 2025, at Marion County Hospice.

She joins her beloved husband, Clinton V Harrington who passed away in 2010. She was the last of five Cavacas’ (her maiden name), to pass following Eddie, Albert, Howard and Hurley Cavacas of Rutland, VT area.

        She was an active member of the DAV Auxiliary Reddick and was active member of Christ The King Catholic Church of Citra, and Our Lady of the Springs Catholic Church, Ocala. Her strong Catholic faith provided her with strength and comfort.

        She loved to read and was best noted for her assertive but gracious personality and outgoing temperament with her strong opinions. She has many friends who will dearly miss her.

        She is survived by 2 of 3 children, Barbara J Hanley of Toms River, NJ and Michael Harrington of Millington, MD.

She is also survived by 8 grand children located in New Jersey, Maryland and Nebraska, plus many great-grandchildren.

        A remembrance service will be held July 9th, 2025, at Our Lady of The Springs Catholic Church, 4047 NE 21st Street Ocala, FL at

1 o’clock pm to celebrate the life of this extraordinary lady.

        In lieu of flowers, the family encourage a donation to Marion County Hospice. Funeral services are being handled by Hiers-Baxley of Ocala, FL.
