Josephine Monvoisin Sizemore
September 15th, 1938 - June 18th, 2025
Josephine Monvoisin Sizemore peacefully passed away on June 18th, 2025, at the age of 86.
Born in Bangkok, Thailand, on September 15th, 1938, Josephine was the youngest daughter of 8
children: 3 brothers and 4 sisters. Her father, Phillip, was from France, and her mother, Thavin, was
from Thailand. The two of them created a large, loving family in Bangkok.
Josephine met her husband, Kenneth Sizemore, in Bangkok while he was serving in the United States
Army. After a courtship, they decided to marry. She left her family, friends, and country to join her
new husband. For 20 years, Josephine stood faithfully beside Kenneth and their two children during
his service in the U.S. Army, providing steadfast support through countless moves, deployments, and
homecomings. Her courage and resilience were a quiet force, holding her family together while asking
for nothing in return. After Kenneth’s retirement, they made Ocala their home.
Though she never sought recognition, Josephine’s life was a testament to the power of quiet sacrifice,
unconditional love, and selflessness. Her Thai cooking, which she shared with others, was one of her
love languages. She made the world a better place just by being in it and touched the lives of everyone
she encountered. Josephine was deeply rooted in her relationship with God. Her faith was not only a
source of strength for herself but also a light she shared with others. Her words and actions were a
quiet testimony to the grace and peace that comes from walking closely with the Lord.
Josephine is survived by her husband, Kenneth Sizemore; her two children, Jenny (Paul) and Kenny
(Celeste); and her five grandchildren: Miles, Ashton, Ava, Noelle, and Elina.
A private graveside service will be held to honor Josephine’s life and legacy. In this tender time, the
family kindly requests that the gathering remain intimate and reserved for close family members. They
are deeply grateful for the outpouring of love, prayers, and support from all who knew and loved
Josephine.
