Marilyn "Maggie" Ann Guzman
January 13th, 1951 - June 17th, 2025
In Loving Memory Of
Marilyn "Maggie" Ann Guzman, a vibrant soul known for her spunk and sass, passed away peacefully on June 17, 2025, in Ocala, Florida, as her soul embarked on it's journey to be with the Lord . Born on January 13, 1951, in Oak Park, Illinois, Maggie brought joy and laughter to all who crossed her path throughout her memorable life.
In 1980, Maggie married Peter Richard Guzman, and together they created a beautiful family. She is survived by their two sons, Peter Jr. (Devonne) and Nicholas, and her cherished sisters, Joan and Barbara. Maggie also leaves behind her grandchildren, Alyssia, Gabriella, Lily, and John, and her great-grandchildren, Quinn and Lilah, all of whom she loved and treasured.
During her time in Chicago, Maggie was a dedicated employee of Illinois Bell (currently AT&T Illinois), however Maggie's career mostly revolved around the restaurant industry, where her vibrant personality and exceptional service delighted many customers. Her spirited nature enriched the lives of all who entered her orbit, leaving a lasting impression filled with warmth and love.
Among her many interests, Maggie was an avid fan of the Chicago Cubs. She often spent her days passionately rooting for her favorite team, whether at the ballpark or in front of the television, where her genuine emotions ranged from exhilarating cheers to heartfelt frustrations. A lover of the color purple and an admirer of butterflies, she infused her life with beauty and joy.
Maggie will be remembered for her infectious enthusiasm and spunk, her loving spirit, and her unwavering support of those she cherished. Her passing leaves a void in the hearts of her family and friends, but her memory will forever remain alive in the stories shared and the love she imparted.
As we say goodbye to this remarkable woman, we celebrate her life and the vibrant legacy she leaves behind, as we hold her spirit in highest regard. Rest in peace, dear Maggie; you will be sorely missed but fondly remembered.
