George Grant Robins
November 27th, 1944 - June 20th, 2025
George Grant Robins, 80, of Malabar, Florida passed away June 20, 2025 surrounded by his loving family, close friends, and his pastor. He was born on November 27, 1944 in Los Angeles, California to Ellis and Mary (Messaros) Robins.
George proudly served in the Navy then the Air Force from 1962 - 1983, achieving the rank of Master Sergeant. His military career took him all over the world including Vietnam and Germany. He received numerous commendations for his positive contributions and leadership. His commitment to his country was unwavering and an inspiration to those who knew and served with him.
Following his distinguished military service, George continued his career in civil service at Patrick Air Force Base working his way up to the position of deputy chief of operations. Known to be straightforward, dedicated, and quietly compassionate, he left a lasting impression on the military members and civilians he worked alongside.
In his retirement, George enjoyed improving and maintaining the home he shared with his wife, involvement with his church, and attending NASCAR events. He LOVED his animals including his favorite macaw, Babe, and cruising with his family. He was able to travel to several places on his bucket list including Egypt, Australia, Vietnam, China, Panama Canal, Hawaii, and Antarctica. He had a passion for helping those in need and sharing his many stories.
George is survived by: his wife of 59 years, Patricia (Farkas) Robins; his son, George Robins Jr, and daughter, Donna (Robins) Bierwirth; his grandsons, Dillon and Colby Bierwirth; his sisters, Joan Mitchell and Joyce Daniels.
He was preceded in death by his sister, Jean Irwin.
The family will receive friends at Ammen Family Cremation and Funeral Care, 950 Malabar Rd. SE, Palm Bay, FL on Friday June 27, 2025 with a viewing from 11:00 A.M. to 1:00 P.M., followed by a funeral service.
