Yaphet "Hulk" Tirek Bell, II
November 17th, 1994 - June 12th, 2025
Yaphet Tirek "Hulk" Bell II Was born on November 17th, 1994 to our parents Patricia Bell(Line) and Yaphet Bell the First.
The youngest and only boy of a trio of siblings; Yaphet always had a larger than life personality, a heart too big for his chest, and held the kind of loyalty for the people he loved you typically only read about in novels. To have a place in this man's heart was truly something special, an undeniable feeling of protection and love. Growing up in Aurora, Colorado Yaphet fostered his lifelong passion for football. My brother spent his elementary & middle school years enrolled with the AYL Rams; earning himself the nickname Freight Train and self-proclaiming as Hulk over time. His dedication for the game and the team would transform the Rams' roll in our lives. With our father eventually signing on as his coach; his love for and knowledge of the game grew, and the AYL Rams became like a 2nd extended family to us. Yaphet formed many strong lifelong friendships with the team before he moved forward to high school, and joined the Overland High School Trailblazers.
It is at OHS that Hulk would forge deeper bonds and meet some of the people who would change his life; experience the burning passion of young love, and find the eventual mother of their son, Ja'Keah Hillman. On December 30th 2012 Yaphet and Ja'Keah welcomed the next generation to carry a tradition; Yaphet Tirek Bell III, affectionately known as Tre. Fatherhood ushered his already boundless love to new heights, a father-son duo who's bond was unbreakable. To see Hulk and Tre together was to witness a truly deep and pure love, there isn't anything in this world he wouldn't do for his son. Eventually as Tre grew, Hulk would pass along his passion for the game of football to his son.
To the shock of all who knew him Yaphet passed away on June 12th, 2025 at 30 years old, he would have been 31 this fall. Yaphet is proceeded in his passing by our eldest sister Yalisa Bell, who also left us far too soon in February 2018. His memory and legacy will be fondly and strongly carried on by our entire family and all who knew him. In the hearts of Tre, Ja'Keah, Myself(Yataia Bell 2nd eldest), our parents, our youngest siblings Derica Rufus and Pharoh Rufus, Candice, Marcus(his best friend & brother), his extended family, and great many friends; Yaphet Tirek Bell II you are kept close and safe. I love you. We love you.
