Stevan Cota Nieto from Guadalupe, AZ., sadly passed on Monday, June 9th, 2025 in Phoenix, AZ., at the age of 58. He is preceded in death by his parents, Juan Nieto & Margarita Cota, Wife Lisa Ann Quihuis - Nieto as well as his Son Eric Ortiz & Brother Alejo Molina. He is survived by his sons and daughters: Vanessa, Steven, Alexandra, Jesus, Frank (JB), & Angela. Sons in Law: Adam Cota, Zack Thrower & Daughters in Law: Abby Mendoza Nieto, & Adrianna Ortiz. 18 Grandchildren, 2 Brothers, & 4 Sisters. Stevan was the the light of any room, his personality was so bright and you always knew that if he would be around you’d have to prepare yourself for all his jokes and his sense of humor. He made sure there was never a dull moment with him no matter the occasion and if it was your first time meeting him he immediately made you feel as if he knew you forever and would make a joke or two to make you laugh and make you feel welcomed. He carried himself with such ease, never allowing any negativity or circumstances overshadow who he was always fighting any and all battles given and never letting them define him. Granting him to live a life full of adventures and the stories he would tell then after, stories that made him who he was and what would allow us to say “He left a mark on us, and he would be someone we’d never forget”. His astonishing appreciation for cars and music was his most powerful attributes he could talk to you forever about classic cars to the most modern and sing any genre of song with you with a heart and soul filled with the love of both. Stevan’s work background was maintenance where he worked and served The Town of Guadalupe and its Cemetery for several years carrying the appreciation of the Community following his Father (Juan) who was the Founder & 1st Fire Chief of the Guadalupe Volunteer Fire Department and his Mother (Margarita) Town Mayor. As we reflect on all the time, memories made and bonds created with Stevan allow us to remember his love and care for his Children and Grandchildren. He accomplished so much in his lifetime but his most proudest, precious moments in life were always acknowledged by him when he spoke of his family. From his oldest to his youngest affirming how proud he was of them and their own triumphs. He prayed for them and always proclaimed to want the absolute best for his children no matter how near or how far. We mourn his untimely passing, He will be deeply missed. His memory will be cherished always and his legacy will be remembered forever. He faced his health challenges with remarkable strength and grace. Though his fight has ended, the courage he showed will remain a lasting inspiration to all who knew and loved him. “Que Dios Te Bendiga”. Rosary, Visitaty and Interment will be Saturday, July 19th, 2025, 8:00am at the Guadalupe Cemetery, Tempe, AZ.
