Diuguid Funeral Services & Crematory - Timberlake
Wiiliam "Bill" Lynn Tibbs
December 28th, 1946 - July 3rd, 2025
William Lynn Tibbs, 78, of Forest, Virginia, peacefully passed away on Thursday, July 3, 2025, after struggling with many health issues.
He was born December 28, 1946, in Forest Virginia to the late George Robert Tibbs and Vivian May Tibbs. He retired from Framatome of Lynchburg and is a member of Timberlake Church. He honorably served in the United States Army during the Viet Nam War.
Bill is survived by his loving wife, Jenny of Forest, his partner and best friend of over 50 years. Together, they built a life full of love, laughter, and memories. He was also a dedicated father to Gregory Todd Tibbs, who sadly preceded him in death- a loss that Bill and Jenny carried with strength and deep love. Those who knew Bill will remember him as a man who could light up any room with a joke. Whether it was a corny pun or clever quip, he had a gift for making people laugh, and he used that gift generously. His sense of humor, kind heart and easy smile made him a friend to many and a stranger to none. Bill's legacy is one of warmth, laughter, and resilience. Though he has left his earthly home, the joy he brought lives on in the hearts of those who loved him.
Funeral services will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Thursday, July 10, 2025, at Timberlake Church with Pastors Brad McMullen and Joe Elmore. officiating. The family will receive friends during a luncheon immediately after the service at the church. The interment will be in Virginia Memorial Park at 2:00 p.m.
Memorial contributions may be made to the American Cancer Society, P.O. Box 6704, Hagerstown, MD 21741.
