Thomas R. Krol of Ocala, Florida, formerly of Erie, PA passed away July 7, 2025, at West Marion in Ocala.

 

He was born in Erie to the late Joseph and Agnes Krol.

 

First working at Erie Concrete and Steel.  He was drafted into the Army and one of the first troops that landed in Viet Nam, where he served bravely, and many times said was his best job being a soldier.

 

Upon honorable discharge he started work at General Electric until his retirement.  He then moved to Ocala, Florida as he said he was a Southern boy at heart.

 

He is survived by his loving wife, Nancy.  They had just celebrated their 35th wedding anniversary on June 29, 2025.

 

He is also survived by brothers Robert and Joseph Krol of Erie and sister Agatha Roach also of Erie, PA.  He is also survived by sister-in-law and brother-in-law Linda & Marty Devaney of Flemington, NJ; brother-in-law and sister-in-law Bob and Kim Beck of Vancouver, WA; brother-in-law and sister-in-law Craig and Michelle Beck of St. James City, FL; also survived by 5 nephews, Bob, Steve, Kevin, Timothy and Justing; 3 nieces Jackie, Kristen and Laura and several great nieces and nephews.  He will be missed greatly by all of them.

 

He loved his wife and his family with deep conviction, and we will all miss his smile and love.
