Nancy Elizabeth Linder

Nancy E. Linder 

December 31, 1936 – July 7, 2025   

Nancy E. Linder, age 88, of St. Paul, Minnesota, passed away peacefully with her beloved husband, Roger W. Linder, and loved ones by her side. Nancy lived a full and joyful life, marked by deep love for her family, enduring friendships, and a warm, generous spirit. These are the best words to describe Nancy “Loving, Kind and Always Accepting”   

Born in St. Paul, Minnesota, on December 31, 1936, Nancy was the daughter of Paul and Magdalen Eckert.  She graduated from St. Agnes High School in 1955 and was honored to serve as a St. Paul Winter Carnival Princess in 1956, representing the Northern Pacific Railway Company.   

Nancy and Roger shared 44 wonderful years of marriage, building a life filled with love, travel, and family. Nancy especially cherished their 25 years of retirement on Marco Island, Florida, and treasured time spent at their log home on Wabana Lake in Grand Rapids, Minnesota, that they built together in 1991. She enjoyed visiting family in Germany and exploring many corners of the world alongside Roger.   

Nancy was known for her incredible cooking and hospitality, especially during the holidays, when she brought the whole family together with warmth and care.   

Nancy will be lovingly remembered by her husband, Roger, her sister, Marilyn of Seattle, WA, and her brother, Paul (Rita) of St. Paul, MN. She was a devoted mother to Barbara of San Diego, CA, Karen (who preceded her in death, 2022), her son James (Rosanne), Stepsons Thomas, John (Becky), Michael (Annette), and Patrick, many nieces and nephews, 16 grandchildren, and 4 great-grandchildren.     

A visitation will be held from 2 pm – 6pm on Tuesday, August 5 at Willwerscheid Funeral Home ,1167 Grand Ave. St. Paul, MN 55105.     Mass of Christian Burial Wednesday August 6th at 10:00 am, with visitation one hour prior, at Assumption Catholic Church, 51 7th St W, Saint Paul, MN 55102.     

Memorials preferred to St. Agnes High School or the Church of the Assumption.
