Michael C Espinosa
January 2nd, 1958 - July 3rd, 2025
Michael Charles Espinosa of Akron, CO was born on January 2nd, 1958, in Lake Forest, Illinois and was sent to his eternal home on July 3rd, 2025, at St. Anthony hospital due to advanced lung cancer. He was the beloved son of Dorothy Howe and Phillip Espinosa (now deceased) He was a devoted and loving husband to Deborah Marie Smart. Mike, as he was affectionately known, was a shining light in the lives of all who had the privilege of knowing him. His journey on this earth was marked by love, compassion, hard work with unwavering and unconditional love for his three children, Angela Perez-Gomez, Colleen Norman and Michael Smart. His passing has left a void in the hearts of his family, friends, brothers and many more whose lives were touched by him. We ask that you remember him not for how his life ended but for the way he lived it, and the profound impact it had on those who had the pleasure of knowing him. Mike is survived by his loving wife Deborah Smart and brother Alfred Manchester/wife, Cheryl and his sister Mary Ann Hatch/ husband, Billy he leaves behind aunts and uncles who adored him dearly. His daughters Angela Perez-Gomez/ husband Sergio, and Colleen Norman/husband Joshua, and his son Michael Smart. His grandchildren, Brittany, Jonathon, Juliana, Brieahna, Emery and Chloe. His great grandchildren, Logan and Ariella, and a host of cousins like Andrea and Eddie shared in his joyful spirit. Mike graduated from Lake Forest High School and started working on bodywork and the boy was great at it. Then he turned trucker just like his dad did. He was a devoted brother to the Teamsters local Union 455, then he transitioned to night warehouse, bottle line he lived his job, and he will be missed. Mike loved old bands like KISS, Doobie Brothers, Boston and Chicago, but his favorite thing to do was chase storms and stargaze with his grandchildren. He lived in Hockey and Golfing, Fishing and Camping. He loved a great flyover and believed an alien ship would take him away! His dry humor and loving to tease everyone were a wonder and so funny! The celebration of life service to honor the life of Michael Charles Espinosa will be held on August 9th, 2025, at 10:00 am at Teamsters local 455 Union Hall, 10 Lakeside Ln, #3a, Denver, CO, 80212. The family is asking for a donation of food! Please bring your favorite dish.
