Farley Funeral Homes and Crematory - Venice
Thomas Ford
August 7th, 1944 - July 9th, 2025
Thomas Joseph Ford, 80, of Venice, Florida, passed away on July 9, 2025.
Born in Allentown, Pennsylvania in 1944 to Anna (Kuchera) and William H. Ford, Tom grew up in a close-knit family alongside his siblings Agnes M. Velas, William H. Ford, and James R. Ford. He graduated from Liberty High School in Bethlehem, PA, and went on to serve proudly in the United States Air Force on a missile launch crew.
Following his military service, Tom began his career as a computer technician at Levin-Townsend Computer Corporation in New York City. He later found his professional calling in real estate management, working for many years in Simi Valley, California.
Tom married the love of his life, Patricia A. Ford (née Griffin), and together they raised two children, Lisa A. Ford (spouse Brad Crain) and Thomas J. Ford. He was a devoted grandfather to Bennett Ford Crain, and he shared a special bond with his loyal dog, Frisbee.
Tom had a lifelong passion for real estate, and he also found joy in golf, boating, and collecting antique sports cars. While living in Simi Valley, he served as a Boy Scout leader, helping shape the lives of young people in his community.
Tom will be remembered for his dedication to family, love of classic cars, and quiet strength. He approached life with a steady hand and a deep appreciation for simple pleasures.
He will be laid to rest with military honors at Sarasota National Cemetery in Sarasota, Florida.
In lieu of flowers, donations in his memory may be made to St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital
