Robert “Bob” Francis Leidy, Sr, age 87, died at home peacefully Saturday morning, July 12, 2025 with his wife and friends by his side. 

 

Bob was born on Friday May 6, 1938 in Philadelphia then he moved to New Jersey where he resided for 45 years. For the last 20 years Bob has resided in Sarasota, Florida. He was a caregiver for the elderly for over 20 years. Bob was a loving husband, father, grandfather and great grandfather.  

 

Bob is survived by his wife, Dee Leidy; his two sons, Bobby Junior and his wife Robin and Gregg Sr. He also leaves behind his three granddaughters Abby, Emi and Ava; three grandsons, Gregg Junior, Justin, Luke Bob and four great grandsons; Carter, Benjamin, Wesley and Finn. Bob was preceded in death by his daughter, Sherri Leidy in 2021. A graveside service will be held at Our Lady of Mt. Carmel Catholic Church Memorial Garden on Wednesday, July 30, 2025 at 10:00AM.

 

Donations can be made in Bob’s name to Tidewell Hospice, Inc., 5955 Rand Blvd., Sarasota, Florida 34238. Farley Funeral Home in Venice is handling the arrangements.
