Frieda Sylvia Schraeder
August 18th, 1946 - July 7th, 2025
Frieda Schraeder (1946 – 2025)
Frieda Sylvia Schraeder (née Cisneros), age 78, of Chandler, Arizona, went home to be with the Lord on July 7, 2025.
She was born in Oakland, California, in 1946 to Fred and Susan Cisneros — the first daughter and third of six children. Named after her father, Frieda grew up in the San Francisco Bay Area, where she made and kept many close friends. She graduated from Pacific High School in San Leandro with the class of 1964.
Frieda began her career in the insurance industry as a claims adjuster. Later, together with her husband, Don Schraeder, she founded and ran a successful retail business focused on roller skates, skateboards, and surf gear, combining her love for people with hard work and an entrepreneurial spirit to grow the business over three decades.
She was a devoted mother to Suzanne Schraeder and Donjay Schraeder, who were her pride and joy. She especially cherished time spent with family and friends and was known for her quick smile, infectious laugh, and the warmth she brought to every gathering. Her faith in God was a foundation of her life and a comfort to all those who knew her. She was a devoted Christian whose faith guided her every day.
One of Frieda’s favorite scriptures was Psalm 91:"I will say of the Lord, 'He is my refuge and my fortress, my God, in whom I trust.' Surely He will save you from the fowler’s snare and from the deadly pestilence. He will cover you with His feathers, and under His wings you will find refuge; His faithfulness will be your shield and rampart." (Psalm 91:2–4)
Frieda was preceded in death by her parents, Fred and Susan Cisneros. She is survived by her husband, Don Schraeder; her daughter, Suzanne Schraeder; and her son, Donjay Schraeder, along with many friends and extended family who will forever hold her memory in their hearts.
A Celebration of Life will be held on October 4, 2025, for family and friends of Frieda. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to Joyce Meyer Ministries, one of her favorite ministries, in her memory.
She will be deeply missed by all who knew her. We take comfort in knowing she is now in the presence of her Savior.
