Carol Christensen Chapman Shupe
March 10th, 1933 - June 12th, 2025
Carol Christensen Chapman Shupe passed away peacefully on the morning of Saturday July 12, 2025. Carol was born on March 10,1933 in Glenbar, Graham County, Arizona to parents Victor and Sarah Jane Christensen.
Carol married her first husband Telford King Chapman on February 28, 1953 in the Mesa, Arizona Temple. They were the parents of four children. Carol lost her husband to a cerebral hemorrhage in 1976.
Carol married her second husband Owen Shupe in 1985. Together they served a mission in Germany and worked in the Mesa Temple together.
Carol was a faithful member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints. She always thought of others before herself and left a lasting legacy of service and faith in God.
She was preceded in death by her parents: Victor and Sarah Jane Christensen, brothers: Phil, Lot, and Gary, sisters: Colleen, Corine, Beth, Geraldine, Rose, and Jane, and husbands: Telford and Owen. She is survived by her four children Susan (Randy), Dana (Chris), Telford (Heather), and Mark (Debra), 13 grandchildren, and 15 great grandchildren.
Visitation services will be held Friday, July 25th at Meldrum Mortuary; 52 N. Macdonald, Mesa, AZ, 85201, from 6:00PM -7:30PM.
Funeral services will be held on Saturday July 26th at The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints, 1852 N. Stapley Dr., Mesa, Arizona, 85203, from 10:00AM - 12:00PM.
A family gathering will begin at 9:00 AM with family prayers starting at 9:45AM
Burial on Saturday, August 2nd at City of Mesa Cemetery; 1212 N. Center St., Mesa, AZ, 85201 @ 10:00 AM
