In Loving Memory

Renee Helen Scott, 63, of Columbia, South Carolina passed away July 6, 2025 at 11:45pm at Riverside Health and Rehabilitation Center in North Charleston, South Carolina. She was born on March 25, 1962 in Washington, District of Columbia to James Earnest and Sadie Louise (Robinson) Scott.

Renee was a hero. A warrior (in combat and life). A wife. A mother. A sister. A friend. A leader. A visionary. A creative. A worshiper. A woman of discernment. A poet. A writer. An instructor. A dreamer. A coach. A scientist. A caretaker. A chef. A business owner. An administrator. A cheerleader. A person whose love flowed through every facet of her being. She truly touched and impacted those who knew her. She loved deeply. And yet, having lived such an incredible, and ever-changing life, her identity remains a daughter of Zion and a co-heir with Jesus Christ.

Renee is survived by: Her oldest daughter, Janaee Swann-Ballard (and husband), her youngest daughter, Javona Swann, and her grandchild. Along with her middle sister, Terry Hall (and husband), and nieces, Sheree Hanee (and husband), Davee Scott, and Latia Scott (and husband), and her youngest sister, Dawn Scott, and her great nephew.

She was preceded in death by: Her parents, James Earnest and Sadie Louise (Robinson) Scott, Aunt Daisy, and her son Frank.

The family will receive friends on July 25th, 2025 from 2:00 - 2:30 pm EST. Funeral services will be held directly at Fort Jackson National Cemetery, 4170 Percival Rd. Columbia SC, 29229.
