In Loving Memory

Sharon Ann Quiram “Sherry”, 88, formerly of Esko, passed away peacefully in Inter-

Faith Care Center in Carlton on Friday, July 25, 2025. Sherry was born in Crosby,

Minnesota to Harley and June Bergeman. She attended school in Esko until 1954 and

graduated from Carlton in 1955.

She married Willard Quiram in 1961, and together they built their life in Esko.

After two years of nurses’ training, she continued her education to become a Radiology

Technologist, which became her lifelong career. She worked in the X-ray department of

the Duluth Clinic and Cloquet Memorial Hospital, retiring in 1999 as the Supervisor of

the Radiology Department in Cloquet. During retirement Willard and Sherry worked as funeral attendants at Atkins.

Sherry enjoyed any type of craft, especially painting, scrapbooking, and ceramics. She

enjoyed gardening, Bingo, snowmobiling and camping with family and friends. She was

very involved in her home church, St. Paul’s Lutheran. There she was active in WMF,

Wee Care Sewers, and the Lay Shepherds Ministries to name a few. She was also in

charge of the crafts for VBS for many years.

She found her greatest joy in the company of her loved ones. She built a life centered

on faith, love, laughter, and togetherness. Her family was her world, and she gave her

heart fully to them.

Sherry’s message in life was, “I love Jesus with all my heart, and my desire is for all of

my family to come to know my Savior, too. Oh, the joy and peace of knowing him.”

Sherry was preceded in death by her husband, Willard; brothers, Gary Bergeman and

Allan Johnson; half-brother, Patrick Bergeman; and half-sister, Sally Peabody.

She is survived and will be missed by her son, Mark (Sheila) Quiram of Esko; daughter,

Dianna (Hans) Kraml of North Bend, Washington; grandsons, Paul (Eva) Quiram of

Glenside, Pennsylvania and Jacob Kraml of Seattle, Washington; great grandchildren,

Matvei Paul, Lillian Polina and Nikolai Paul; two half-brothers, Thomas (Karen)

Bergeman of Manistee, Michigan and Donn Bergeman of Sun City West, AZ; and her beloved

dog, Molly.

The family would like to thank Inter-Faith Care Center, especially the staff of Cedar Unit,

the activities department, and Chaplain Jon Skansgaard for their wonderful caring and

friendship to Sherry. We would also like to thank St. Croix Hospice for their excellent

care of Sherry. We are grateful to both Inter-Faith and St. Croix for their support of the

family.

Visitation: 10:00 a.m. followed by the 11:00 a.m. Memorial service Thursday, July 31,

2025, at St. Paul’s Lutheran Church, 1705 Wilson Avenue, Cloquet. A luncheon will

follow in the fellowship hall at the church. Arrangements entrusted to Atkins-Northland Funeral Home.
