In Loving Memory of

Roger Willis Bullard

February 11, 1937 – July 22, 2025

Roger Willis Bullard passed away peacefully at the age of 88 in Colorado Springs, Colorado on July 22, 2025. Born in Fairview, Oklahoma, to Guy and Ernestine Bullard. Roger lived a life rooted in deep faith, purpose, and service.

He earned a degree in Agricultural Biochemistry from Oklahoma State University under a Lew Wentz Scholarship and later received his masters degree in Analytical Chemistry from the University of Denver. Roger spent much of his career as an agricultural researcher and biochemist at the Denver Federal Center, where he served under the USDI and USDA. His work advanced sustainable agricultural development across many nations, and he mentored other scientists across the world. He published over 50 scientific articles, edited two books, authored one book, and pioneered agricultural missions work.

Through partnerships with Morningstar Development and ECHO, Roger introduced farming innovations around the world from teaching corn planting in Budapest to training agricultural missionaries in Florida. He generously supported ministries and missions as a servant leader wherever he went.

Roger proudly served in the U.S. Army and received the Good Conduct Medal. He remained committed to serving others through volunteer work with the Fort Carson Wounded Warrior battalion with Wounded Warriors via GIGSS (GI Grannies/Gramps for soldier support) in Colorado Springs.

Roger’s life was a radiant testament to service, commitment, and care. Above all, he was a man of unwavering faith, a devoted husband, loving father, and deeply cherished grandfather. He believed that family was one of God’s greatest gifts. Roger faithfully encouraged and nurtured others to walk in their God-given calling and inspired them to do the same for their lineage. He cultivated a legacy of faith, love, and strength that will live on.

He is survived by his wife, Marilyn; his children: Charles (Debbie) Bullard, Andrea (Keith) Thompson, Laurel Anderson, and Philip (Sheryl) Bullard; grandchildren: Shawna (Josh) Rees, Brian Bullard, Luke (Jenna)Pinto-Thompson, Joshua (Karynne) Anderson, Tori Bullard, Laurel Thompson, Madison Bullard, and Connor Bullard; and six great-grandchildren.

Roger was preceded in death by his first wife, Joyce; his parents, Guy and Ernestine Bullard; and his brother, Bruce Bullard.
