Dorothy Geraldine Souza
June 27th, 1932 - July 12th, 2025
Dorothy Geraldine Souza, age 93, born June 1932 in Monterey, California was sent to her eternal home on July 12, 2025. Her family is grateful that she passed away peacefully shortly after being given a private flute concert by a friend. Dorothy lived her entire life in beautiful Monterey, California. She attended Monterey High School and married Louis Anthony Souza at the age of 16. She is survived by her three children, Valerie Souza, Martin Souza (Lori), and Annette Biggs (Cory). She was loved by many grandchildren and great grandchildren. Her careers included homemaker, neighborhood after school daycare and florist. Dorothy always enjoyed arranging fresh flowers and turned this into a business. She owned The Flower Market for 20 years and eventually sold it but continued her career there. She volunteered for over 30 years in the gift shop at the Community Hospital of the Monterey Peninsula. She also enjoyed visiting with her neighbors and giving treats to their dogs. Any donations will be welcome, please send them to the Tyler Heart Institute of the CHOMP. A Celebration of Life will be held at a later date.
