Doris Corder Rauch, 90, of Columbia, passed away on July 29, 2025.
She was born on April 22, 1935 to parents John Samuel Corder and Esther Meetze Corder. She was the eldest of 7 siblings, all of whom she helped raise. She loved fishing, gardening, crafting, and spending time with her family. She also helped her husband with his farming ventures. She enjoyed traveling to the mountains, especially driving on the Blue Ridge Parkway and going to Cherokee and Maggie Valley. She and her late husband, George Dewey Rauch, Sr., traveled the continental United States in their camper.
She is preceded in death by her parents; her husband; sisters, Pauline Spotts and Jeanette Croft; brothers, Ted Corder, John Henry Corder, and James Corder; and grandson, John Edward Rauch.
She is survived by sons, John Wesley Rauch (Sheila) and George Dewey Rauch, Jr.; daughters, Dorothy Threatt (Paul) and Linda Lown; brother, Wilbur Corder (Jane); and grandchildren, great grandchildren, and 2 great, great grandchildren.
Memorials may be made to Pine Bluff Baptist Church.
A funeral service will be held on Friday, August 1 at 11:30am at Pine Bluff Baptist Church with a visitation from 10 until 11:30. Burial will follow church service at Greenlawn Memorial Park.
