After his discharge from active duty, they moved to Great Falls, MT and lived there for several years before moving to Fairfield, MT. The family moved many times over the years but always seemed to return to the Fairfield area. Two of their children graduated from Fairfield High School in 1982 and 1983. Wayne and Rosemary divorced in 1981 after 28 years of marriage. Rosemary went to work at the Aragon Bar and Café in Fairfield. In the late 1990’s, she went to work for the Rainbow Retirement Community in Great Falls as the Head of Housekeeping. She worked there about 5 years before retiring. In 2011, she and her daughter, JoAnn, moved to Melbourne, FL to be closer to family.
In her spare time, Rosemary kept busy with numerous craft-type projects. She crocheted afghans, knit sweaters, mittens, winter hats, baby blankets, slippers, and baby hats for the newborns at the local hospital. Friends and family benefited from her many creative efforts. She also took classes in ceramics making many cute figurines and seasonal decorations that are cherished by her family.
Rosemary was an active person who didn’t like to sit idle. Even when watching TV in the evenings with her family, her hands were busy with knitting needles or crochet hooks and yarn. Her favorite flowers were pansies, daisies, mums, lilacs, daffodils, irises and roses. She was much loved by her family and will be greatly missed.
Suggested memorials: The ASPCA or local animal shelter, community food banks, the American Red Cross, Alzheimer’s Research or trees planted in her memory.
