LOPEZ II, Clifford David, age 42, a resident of Westminster, CO, passed away on Sunday, August 3, 2025 in a local hospital following several illnesses.
Funeral services for Clifford will be held on Wednesday, August 13, 2025 at the Spirit of Christ Catholic Community in Arvada, CO at 11:00 AM. A viewing of Clifford will be held prior the service at 10:00 AM.
The Rosary will be recited on Tuesday, August 12, 2025 at 6:00 PM in the Chapel at the Spirit of Christ. A viewing of Clifford will be held prior to the praying of the Rosary at 5:00 PM.
His survivors include his parents, Clifford Lopez Sr., and wife Katheryn Lopez, of Westminster, CO, his four siblings; Michelle Lopez (Dan) of Mesa, AZ, John Paul Lopez (Megan) of Ionia, MI, Patrick Lopez (Chika) of Okinawa, Japan, and Cecilia Lopez of Broomfield, CO, his grandmothers Dolores Lopez of Denver, CO and Cecilia Melendez of Sandy, UT, his great-aunt Bernadette Atencio of Denver, CO, aunts and uncles; Alberta Lopez-Leyba (Guy) of Denver, CO, June Sailas (Lonnie) of Thornton, CO, Glenn Lopez (Elaine) of Denver, CO, Brenda Lopez of Texas, Shorty (Dwayne) Lopez of Denver, CO, Diana Avila-Lopez of Denver, CO, Wayne Lopez of Denver, CO, John Lopez (Becky) of Denver, CO, Bob Melendez of Murray, UT, Teresa Eldredge (Kurt) of Sandy, UT, Cynthia Ryan (Dan) of Murray UT, an many, many cousins and second cousins too numerous to mention.
Clifford played football in high school and had a passion for weight lifting and body building. He participated in a body building contest and prepared diligently for his competition. All his life, he made it a priority to go to the gym (sometimes twice a day) and consumed an outrageous amount of protein.
He loved to play chess with his grandfather, Alfonso Melendez, his mom, Kathy, and his brother, Patrick. Clifford enjoyed many trips to Blackhawk, CO and Wendover, NV. He was very skilled and lucky at Blackjack, contributing to his highest income in 2024.
Clifford was a very loving and thoughtful son, brother, grandson, nephew, cousin, and friend, and he will be greatly missed.
