Juan Vasquez
June 8th, 1980 - August 7th, 2025
Juan Vasquez, 45, passed away on August 7, 2025, in Chandler, Arizona. Born on June 8, 1980, in Phoenix, Arizona. Juan brought light and laughter to those around him throughout his life.
He was the beloved son of Nancy Vasquez and Gilberto Martinez. Juan’s vibrant spirit lives on through his children: Adrian Vasquez, Juan Vasquez Jr., and Jesus Chavez. He also leaves behind a large and loving family who will cherish his memory always—his siblings Cecilia Vasquez, Gilbert Vasquez, Cecilia Martinez, Gilbert Martinez, Cynthia Runyon, Kimmie Martinez, Lydia Martinez, David Martinez, and Adrian Martinez.
Juan was a devoted uncle to many nieces and nephews who adored spending time with him: Aisha Ordonez, Ava Rosales, Ira Rosales, Ina Rosales, Israel Rosales Jr., Leo Vasquez, Hazel Vasquez, Daisy Vasquez, Penelope Vasquez, Alexis Gomez, and Mariano Gomez. He was preceded in death by his brother Gilbert Gomez; nephew Uriah Ordonez; and uncle Armando Vasquez.
A man of many passions and a heart full of joy, Juan found happiness in the simple pleasures of life. He had a deep love for arts and crafts and often shared that joy with his nieces and nephews during creative afternoons filled with laughter. His artistic flair extended to tattooing—a form of expression he embraced with enthusiasm.
Juan had a special fondness for musicals and science fiction films—especially the "Aliens" series—which sparked his imagination and brought him countless hours of enjoyment. His sweet tooth was legendary among those who knew him well. And nothing delighted him more than indulging in his mom’s famous “lazy tacos,” a dish that brought comfort and warmth to many family gatherings.
Above all else, Juan loved his children deeply. His lively soul left an indelible mark on everyone he met—through his humor, creativity, and unwavering affection for family.
May his memory bring comfort to those who knew him and continue to inspire moments of joy in their lives.
A Funeral Service will be held on August 23, 2025, from 02:00 PM to 05:00 PM at Legacy Funeral Home 1374 N. Arizona Ave.
