Amanda Marie VanMatre

Amanda Marie VanMatre 4/12/83 - 11/5/2023 Amanda (40) was born in Longmont Colorado and passed away in Boulder Colorado. She was the second of five children of David and Margie VanMatre. Amanda was incredibly loving and always caring for others. If she never helped you, she did not know you. Even after she left, her gift of giving continued as an organ donor to help people she never met. Amanda’s silliness and happiness were infectious. She enjoyed making people smile and loved interacting with them, even at work. You would not recognize her if she was not smiling as she almost always had a beautiful smile on her face to greet you. Amanda and Christian Ruddick brought three amazing children into the world. We could not ask for better gifts than Kyla (14), Christian (12), and Kash (6), and are honored to have these beautiful children in our lives. Amanda loved all her siblings fiercely. She had a special bond with her sisters Ashley and Amber and was the big sis protector of her younger brothers Addison and Andy. Entertaining everyone with her antics and clowning around was Amanda’s specialty. She made menial tasks fun and loved creating dishes and treats in the kitchen, especially before football games. Being outside in nature and running free was where she felt at peace. As a highly creative and talented artist, Amanda transformed everyday things into works of art. Her creative spirit was inspiring and lives on in her children. Amanda was preceded in death by her sister Ashley VanMatre, her partner and love of her life Christian Ruddick, a precious baby boy miscarriage, and her Grandmother Mary (Betty) Cordell. She is terribly missed and survived by a large loving family: David and Margie VanMatre - her parents. Kyla, Christian, and Kash Ruddick - her children. Amber VanMatre (Hamilton Nickoloff) Carmen Sterling (Caiden Blakely) Cambelle Moore and her father (James Moore) Oliver Nickoloff , Addison VanMatre ,Anderson VanMatre ,Donovan Cordell ,Patricia (Michael) Toon - children: Nick Cordell, Chelsea Toon, Joshua, and Caleb; Anne Moriarty - children: Megan, Brigid, and Colleen; Carol Marino - children: Jenni and Nicki; Laura (Keith) Giles - children: Chaz and Lance; Mary (Leigh) McGill - children: Anna and Clint; Cindy (Craig) Brown - children; Brendan, Michaela, Kristen, and Janelle; Donna (Tom) Sebastian - children: Jessica and Lauren; Teresa (Neil) Fischer - children: Rachael, Heather, Marci, and Chase; Roberta (Tracy) Cordell ,Don and Judy VanMatre ,Mike VanMatre - children: Casandra and Hope ,Connie Solano (Rudy) and Glenn Watt (Sandy) children: Brandon, Clayton, and Mickey Watt ,Joy Sannes (Randy) children: Dalton, Erickson Sannes Amanda is also survived by numerous second cousins and countless friends who loved her.
