Paul Cecil

Obituary Paul Joseph (Cieslewicz) Cecil, age 59, of Longmont, Colorado, died unexpectedly at his home in Longmont on April 3, 2020. Paul was born in Milwaukee, Wisconsin, on March 14, 1961, and moved with his family to Janesville, Wisconsin, in 1966. Paul was a 1979 graduate of Janesville Craig High School, and went on to obtain a bachelor�s degree in Public Relations from the University of Wisconsin-Whitewater. While working in sales in his early 30s, Paul legally changed his last name from Cieslewicz to Cecil. Since 2011, Paul has worked at McGuckin Hardware in Boulder, Colorado. Prior to that, he worked for many years at Liquor Mart, also in Boulder. Growing up in Janesville, Wis., Paul enjoyed a fun-filled, adventurous childhood as the fourth of five brothers. Paul was known for his daredevil ways and loved playing card and board games with his family. In high school, Paul participated in several sports and was a standout wrestler. Family, sports, music, and nature were Paul�s passions. Paul was most proud of his son Zach Cramer, and Zach�s wife, Heyly Wan, who currently reside in New York City. Paul was a lifelong fan of the Green Bay Packers and Wisconsin Badgers. Since settling in Colorado in 1996, he also enjoyed cheering on Colorado professional sports teams, as well as those of the University of Colorado Buffaloes. Paul was a kind and generous soul with an infectious laugh, who greeted you with a smile and sense of enjoyment. When visiting Paul, he always found a way to give you something, from newspaper clippings he saved, pictures he took, compact discs he recorded, or a store vendor souvenir. In addition to his son and daughter-in-law, survivors include his brothers Mark (Amy) of Cherry Hill, New Jersey; Stan of Vancouver, Washington; Bill (Lisa) of Milford, Ohio; and Greg (Kathryn) of Madison, Wisconsin; nieces Kimberly (Dan) Cook of Chicago; Karen Cieslewicz of Philadelphia; and nephews Eric (Angela) Cieslewicz of Franklin, Tennessee; and Brian Cieslewicz of Brookline, Massachusetts. Paul was preceded in death by his parents, Stanley and Virginia Cieslewicz. Due to the worldwide pandemic, a celebration of Paul�s life will be held at a later date.
