Alfonso Tovar Jr. 65, of Longmont Colorado, entered into rest on May 7, 2013 surrounded by family and loved ones at Longmont United Hospital. Al was born September 6, 1947 to Alfonso Tovar Sr. and Augustina Meza. Al was born and raised in Johnstown Colorado. He was captain of the track team his senior year of high school and was runner-up at the state championships in wrestling. After graduation from Johnstown high school he chose to use his skills in the construction field, primarily as a drywaller. His hobbies were woodworking, making jewelry and playing the guitar. Al will be deeply missed by many. He is survived by his three sons, Alfonso Jay Tovar, Mark Tovar, and Gilbert Tovar, as well as 11 grand children. He is further survived by his brothers and sisters, Ruby Johnson (Roger), John Tovar (Nancy), Walt Tovar and Rosie Tovar. Services have been scheduled for May 14, 2013 at 3pm located at the Front Range Christian Fellowship. Please share stories and photos on this web page with family and loved ones.
