David Alan Martinez
October 5th, 1966 - May 12th, 2021
David Alan Martinez, lovingly known as Carebear, a lifelong resident of Denver, Colorado, passed away and spread his wings, surrounded by family and friends on May 12th, 2021 at the age of 54. David is survived by his wife, Yvette Martinez; his children, Vanessa Sotelo, Jonathan Martinez and Emiliano Martinez; his grandchildren, Nicholias Quintero, Caressa Quintero, and Amora Martinez. David was born on October 5th 1966 to Savina Martinez. Little brother to Melquiades Nevarez JR, Anthony Martinez, & Big Brother to Dora Hernandez He graduated from West High School in 1986. On May 11th, 2000, he married Yvette, the love of his life and spent 34 years together. On April 3rd, 1986, December 4th, 1994 and February 8th 1996, he welcomed his beautiful daughter and two wonderful sons, who were the most important part of his life. One of David's biggest accomplishments was being a father and grandfather. He was a knight in shinning armor to his wife. His children called their dad a hero, and even as adults, still see him that way. Being surrounded by family brought him so much joy and you wouldn't find him anywhere without his grandchildren. David was an avid sports fan who loved the Denver Broncos and would always be dressed in orange and blue. He will be deeply missed by his friends, family, and all who knew him.
