Maria "Mary" Sostenita Giron

Maria "Mary" Sostenita Giron moved in the forward direction of her life on February 18, 2017. Born on April 14, 1929 in Trinidad, Colorado to Joe and Luisa Giron. Preceded in death are Mary's parents, Son in law Jerry Whelan, former husband Romaldo Maldo" Bueno, and friend, partner and companion Cristobal "Chris" Vasquez. Mary leaves to cherish her memory her children: Odel ( Edward ) Marquez, Rosemary (Clay) Wilson, Richard Giron, Penny (Tim) Bueno, Valerie Vecellio (Bill) Kishman, David (Victoria) Vasquez - Avila and Christopher Avila (Jessica Maestas). Also surviving her are her sister Linda Castillo and brother Joe (Ercie) Giron Jr. Also left to cherish her memory are her grandchildren: Clayton (Dana) Marquez, Sophia; Katherine (Jeremy) Marquez-Zogelmann, Jamie (Joey) Salazar, Tyler, Ahlix, Jaidyn and Chloe; Lisa (David) Lopez, Joshua; Joseph Giron, Creighton and Raven; Dominic Gi ron, Aaliyah; Cynthia Giron and Ryan Giron; Tina (Greg) Guzzo, Jalyn, Jessalyn, Jordyn, and Jayson; Kenneth Bueno, Katelyn Bueno; Matthew (Melinda) Vecellio, Kallysta, Devin and Emelia Vecel l io; Mark (Kimmi ) Vecellio; Kevin Beardslee, Jeremy Vasquez-Avila, Ashley (Gene) Velasquez, Raymond (Cindy) Luna; Reyna Lujan, Darian Lujan, Natalie Lujan-Avila, Gabe Lujan-Avila, Johanna Joy; numerous special nieces and nephews. Mary was in business with her father operating the Greenlight Bar in Trinidad for many years. She was passionate about spiritual reading and sharing her many inspirational, universal truths. She enjoyed listening to her music, appreciated her time outdoors, and the beauty of nature that surrounded her . Let us be reminded to express our gratefulness for the gift of our mother and grandmother, as her life will continue to unfold through her children. A memorial service and celebration of Mary's life will be held on Saturday, February 25, 2017 at BRIX, 231 E.
