James "Leroy" O. Apodaca went to be with the Lord on December 22, 2020. He was born in Trinidad, Colorado on June 8, 1955 to James Apodaca and Jennie Quintero. He is preceded in death by his mother Jennie; and grandparents Mary and Celestino Quintero. He is survived by his wife of 43 years Cynthia Apodaca; children Shantel Ocana-Mejia (Douglas), Vennina Quezada, and James (Erica) Apodaca; siblings Emma Montoya, John (Nicole) Martinez, cindy Martinez, Robert(Bernice)Martinez, Ron Maritinez, and Rose (Ruben) Lozano; 6 Grandchildren: Shontae (Justin) Madrid, Johnavon Valdez, James Apodaca, Julian Apodaca, Isabella Apodaca and Davion Quezada and 3 Great grandchildren: Gionni Madrid, Jaedon Madrid and Selena Madrid. Leroy loved shopping, the Flea Market, playing pool, and spending time with his grandchildren. His family described him as very loving, kind, gentle, who did everything with love. He was the greatest father ever. He was a hard working man who provided for his family with pride. He will be missed by all who knew and loved him.
