Ermalinda Rivera
December 21st, 1940 - September 22nd, 2018
It is with great sadness that the family of Ermalinda Rivera announces her passing on Saturday, September 22, 2018 at the age of 77. Erma grew up in Kim and Trinidad, Colorado. She married her husband Jim and, they have resided in Northglenn, Colorado for the last 39 years. Erma will be remembered for her heartwarming smile and ease of conversation even with total strangers, time with family, shuffleboard, bingo and going to Central City. She enjoyed camping and fishing and being a member of the 4019 Eagles Club. She loved to cook. Her green chili and fudge were here signature dishes. She was preceded in death by her parents Lee and Margaret Lujan, sister Mary Maes, brothers Joseph, Ruben and Felix Lujan. Erma is lovingly remembered by Jim, her husband of 57 years, children Denise (and Angie), Jimmy (and Gina), grandchildren James, Bryan and Holly, brothers Lee (and Ester) Lujan, Edward (and Donna) Lujan, Toby Lujan, sister Theresa (and Oney) Maestas, brother-n-law Ray Rivera, sister-n-law Janie (and Floyd) Martinez, sister-n-law Gerri Woolman. Erma will also be forever remembered by her numerous nieces, nephews and extended family and dear friends. Her life celebration will begin at Romero Funeral Home, 4750 Tejon Street, Denver, CO 80211 with the viewing from 5:00-6:00 and followed by a rosary from 6:00-7:00 on Thursday, September 27th. The funeral mass will be at St. Mark's Catholic Church, 3141 W. 96th Avenue, Westminister, CO 80031 on Friday, September 28th at 11:00. The pallbearers are James Brockway, Holly Rivera, Richard Rivera, Ray Rivera, Lawrence Lopez, and Lawrence Lopez, Jr. The honorary pallbearers are Toby Lujan, Floyd Martinez and Ashley Woolman. The internment will be on Monday at Fort Logan Cemetery at 1:30 sharp at staging area "B". The family will receive family and friends Friday from 1:00-4:00 at the 4019 Eagles Club at 8800 Federal Blvd, Federal Heights, CO 80260. Cemetery Details Ft.
