Michael Ronald Marquez (Denver), born August 23, 1950, to Juanita Cruz and Anthony Marquez went home to the Lord's house on April 29, 2022. Michael is survived by his loving wife of nearly 52 years, Phyllis Bernadette Negrete Marquez, his daughters, Stephanie Lynn Marquez and Valerie Marie Hernandez, son in-law Edward Hernandez Jr., his five grandchildren, Michael R. Smith (spouse: Gabriela), Edward Ray Hernandez III, Mikesia B. Smith, Jonah A. Hernandez (spouse: Abigail), Dionisia A. Smith, and his great-grandchildren, Zaria, Mi'Laya, Nala, David, Jordan, Liliana, and Esperanza. Michael served an honorable service with the United States Navy during the Vietnam War and received the national defense medal and good conduct award upon an honorable discharge. His professional career was mostly in pharmaceutical healthcare, and he had the spirit of an entrepreneur. Michael will be remembered by his family as a man of strong faith, one who loved sports, and someone who shared his wit and wisdom with anyone he encountered. His memory and shared ‘isms of life will live on in the hearts of his loved ones for generations to come. Private family services were held in honor of Michael's life.
