Mercedes "Mercy" Martha Brito went to be with the Lord on February 16, 2020 surrounded by her loving family. She was born in Antonito, Colorado on August 31, 1930 to Telesforo Lopez and Epifinia Duran. She is preceded in death by her Husband William Brito Sr.; son Ricky Brito; and grandson Roberto Garcia. She is survived by her children Shirley Contreras, Willam Brito Jr., Wanda Lucero (Joe) and Barbara Ornelas (Ronnie); sisters Eliria Lopez, Elisia Lopez and Mary Soto; 11 grandchildren; and 15 great grandchildren. Mercy loved dancing, singing, and cooking. Her specialties were calditos and tortillas. Her family described her as traditional. She wore her heart on her sleeve.
