Brian D. Champion
March 21st, 1979 - June 17th, 2022
Brian D. Champion March 21, 2022 ~ June 17, 2022 Brian "Champ" Champion (43), originally of Englewood, CO passed away suddenly and unexpectedly on June 17, 2022. He was predeceased by his sister Julie, and has left behind his parents, Sherry and Dalton Champion, his brother Andrew, his loving wife Elizabeth (Liz Duran), and two boys Tate (14) and Myles (7). Brian graduated from the University of Colorado at Boulder in 2002 with a BS in Aerospace Engineering. After spending several years at Lockheed Martin, he worked briefly at Orbital Sciences Corporation, before returning to Lockheed Martin where he has spent the last 15 years. Brian loved his work and was passionate about his new role as a manager. He was understanding and patient, enjoyed mentoring and teaching, and made a difference on every team he worked on. Despite Brian's success in the workplace, his family was his main source of joy. Champ's eyes would light up when discussing his wife and kids. Champ and Liz were married on January 10, 2004. Their first child Tate is now a first degree black belt that will be starting the 9th grade at the Cherokee Trail High School next fall. Myles is a soccer player who will be going into the 2nd grade at Blackforest Elementary school. A celebration of Brian's life is scheduled for July 1, 2022 at the Ave Maria Catholic Church (9056 E. Parker Road, Parker, CO 80138). Services include a rosary at 10:30am, mass at 11:00am, and a reception to follow. Cemetery Details J. S. Parker Cemetery 10375 S. Parker Rd.
