Frank J Shaw

Frank James Shaw: July 22, 1935 - April 13, 2023 Frank James Shaw of Aurora, Colorado left this earth to be with Jesus on April 13, 2023. He is survived by his wife Barbara Shaw; daughters Cindy Adler, Sue Pacheco, Patty Shaw and Kathy Vreeland; step-daughter Carrie Medders; Nephew Robert Shaw; 3 grandchildren and 7 great-grandchildren. Frank was preceded in death by his parents, Frank and Peggy Shaw, and his brother, Bob Shaw. Frank was born in Detroit, Michigan but lived most of his life in Wyoming and Colorado. He spent 25 years as a nursing home administrator, which is where he met his wife of nearly 40 years, Barbara. He returned to college in the late 90s as a non-traditional student and graduated with a Bachelor of Science in Political Science from Weber State University in 1999. He then went on to earn a Master of Arts in Political Science from the University of Colorado at Denver in 2001. Frank worked several jobs in the non-profit sector after earning his degrees, finally landing at the St. Francis Center where he worked for many years before retiring. He returned shortly after as a volunteer and stayed in contact with the Center until his final days. Frank was active in the Presbyterian and Episcopal churches, serving in varying capacities. While his family misses him greatly, we know he is at peace in the arms of his Savior.
