Christine Acosta

Christine Acosta, 63 of Arvada It with a heavy and broken heart the family of Christine Acosta announces the passing into eternal life of their mother, grandmother, sister, and aunt, who slipped into eternity on April 5, 2017. When she was born, she graced her parents Gabriel & Jessica Gonzales on July 17, 1953. She was the second of four children born to this union. She attended North High School in Denver. Was an excellent caterer/chef for more than five years. She enjoyed time with her grandchildren, cooking, traveling and taking pictures. Christine is preceded in death by her son, Jeffrey Acosta; parents Gabriel and Jessie Gonzales; grandmother Lucy Duran; Aunt Rose Jaramillo, Uncle Ernie Jaramillo and cousin Ernie Jaramillo, Jr; and many aunts and uncles. To continue to cherish her memory are her sons, Tony Castillo, Sean Acosta; daughters, Jacque Castillo and Christine Acosta; grandchildren, Porsha Castillo-Ceballos, Santanna Castillo, Jeffrey Acosta, Tony "Skoobz" Castillo, Jaylynn Acosta, Talia Ceballos, Victor Ceballos; Siblings, David Gonzales, JoAnn De La Cruz and Nancy Gonzales; nieces & nephews, Paul, Javanne, Angie, Gabriela, Daniel, Valentino, MichaelAnn and Joshua. There will be a Visitation & Viewing on Tuesday, April 18, 2017 from 5:00pm to 8:00pm at Romero Funeral Chapel, 4750 Tejon Street, Denver, Colorado. A Memorial Mass will be celebrated on Friday, April 21, 2017 at 10:00am at St. Patrick's Catholic Church, 3325 Pecos Street, Denver, Colorado. Inurnment will follow at Highland Cemetery, Thornton, Colorado.
