Jesse Lee Martinez Sr.

Jesse Lee Martinez, 79 of Denver, Colorado passed away on September 24, 2023. Jesse was born on December 11, 1943, to John and Nancy Martinez in California. In 1962, Jesse met Delma Marquez at the Westwood projects. They married on December 26, 1964. Jesse and Delma went on to have 3 boys, Jesse, Shane, and Aaron. Jesse worked since he was 14 years old. In 1970, Jesse had a back injury that retired him, and he spend his time watching his boys grow up and anything to do with cars Jesse was right there. Jesse was predeceased by his youngest son Aaron Martinez and grandson Angel Martinez. He survived his wife Delma Martinez, oldest son Jesse Martinez and wife Dawn Martinez, middle son Shane Martinez and wife Irma Martinez, and youngest son’s wife Mariah Martinez. He has a living brother Alfonso Martinez Sr, and a late brother John Martinez and Billie Aguilar. In addition to his grand and great grandchildren, Erica Valdez and Dave Valdez, Tara Martinez, Alyssa Martinez, Linda Martinez and Felipe Ramirez, Elena Martinez and Edgar Gomez, Adrianna Martinez and Darren Cespedes, Luke Martinez, Anastasia Gomez, Rene Rodriguez, Elijah Chavez, Zayaleana Baker, Samirah Baker, Jordan Valdez, Lawernce (Lj) Martinez, Dominick Ramirez, Deliylah Ramirez, Demi Ramirez, Darren (Dj) Cespedes, Evaeh Gomez, and Sophia Hubbard. Jesse was also surrounded by love from numerous families, friends, nieces, and nephews: Atencio family, Marquez family, and Martinez family. Services will be Rosary at 6pm on October 4, 2023, location, Romero Funeral Home 4750 Tejon St. Denver, Co 80211. Following, a mass on October 5, 2023, at 10am location Notre Dame 2190 S Sheridan Blvd. Denver, Co 80219. Burial will happen October 6, 2023, in Fort Garland, CO following a mass at Holy Family Church.
