Esther Cardenas
July 6th, 1952 - November 3rd, 2023
Our beloved Mother Esther Marie Cardenas, passed away at the age of 71 on Friday November 3, 2023, at St. Anthony Medical Center in Lakewood, CO. Esther was born on July 6th, 1952, in Los Angeles, CA to pastors Meliton and Theresa Rodriguez. She was the eldest of 5 children. Esther graduated from Mark Keppel High School in 1971 and was married the following year in 1972. She was a loving mother to four children, Ruth, Priscilla, Eunice, and John. Our family moved to Denver, CO in the winter of 1981. Our Mother remarried in 2005 to Luis E. Cardenas and was the love of his life. She retired as a Customer Collections Representative for the IRS in March of 2020. Mom was efficient in her duties and always tried to be understanding while assisting Taxpayers with their issues. Once she retired, she had the freedom to travel and visit with siblings and family out of state. Esther's sincere, humble, trustworthy, intelligent attitude, and that's just to name a few, befriended many people from all walks of life. Esther was a bright light in others darkness. She encouraged others, ministered the Gospel of Jesus Christ and was a Mentor/Teacher to those who accepted Him into their lives. Mom was a prayer warrior; she would visit inmates in her prison ministry and give hope to those who had lost all faith. Esther was always an encouraging voice and a generous giver. She poured her heart into everything she did and always gave all Honor and Glory to God. Mom you will be deeply missed by your family, friends, and all the lives you touched through your ministry. Esther is preceded in death by; parents, Meliton and Theresa Rodriguez; Grandson, Giovanni Munilla Allen. Esther is survived by her husband Luis E. Cardenas; Sisters, Rebecca [John] Rodrigues, Deborah Rodriguez, Sarah [Amos] Lopez, Brother, Andrew [Linda] Rodriguez.
