Celebrating The Life of Kerry E. Ware November 7TH 1942- November 28TH 2023 A Celebration of Life service will be held on December 13, 2023 at Romero Funeral Home, located at 15150 E. Iliff Ave. Aurora, CO. 80013. The service will begin at 1:00 pm, followed by a reception at 4:30 pm. The address for the reception will be announced during the service. Kerry Ware was born on November 7TH, 1942 in Smithdale, Pennsylvania. He moved to Flint, Michigan as a young boy. Kerry was a resident of Denver/Aurora, Colorado for the past 30 years. Kerry had a rich life of being a loving and loved husband, father, grandfather, cousin, uncle, godfather, and friend. Kerry started his career following in his mother’s footsteps as a beautician/ barber, and salon owner. He went on to co-own Kerry and Earrish’s Wigs and Boutique in Flint, Michigan with wife of 34 years Earrish “Walls” Ware (1946-1998). Kerry was a man of many talents and entrepreneurial endeavors. He co-owned popular Flint nightclub, The Piece Of The Rock with his longtime friend, Larry White. His last entrepreneurial endeavor was opening a driving school in Denver, Colorado before ultimately retiring as a Car Salesman. Kerry was a huge sports fan and while living in MI. he loved attending golf tournaments, football camps, NBA games, and visiting sparring gyms. In his late teens, Kerry was a Michigan Golden Glove Champion. Kerry was also a passionate golfer and a lover of jazz music. He enjoyed attending jazz concerts and clubs, and used jazz as his backdrop to life. He had a kind heart and was known for being a listening ear and uplifting spirit. Even at 80 years old, he maintained relationships with childhood friends through frequent telephone calls and air mail communication. Everyone that knew him knew of his very special bond with his granddaughter Torri and that they referred to one another affectionately as 'best friend'. Kerry was not a religious man but he studied various religions while considering himself a spiritual person, he often quoted, "The Maker Has The Master Plan." Kerry is survived by his son: Kerry R. Ware, Denver, CO, his daughter: Nichole James and son-in-law, Keith James, Centennial, CO, Granddaughter: Torri James, Houston, TX. Kerry is also survived by his brother, Marvin Ware, niece, Trina Ware, Nephew Marvin Ware Jr. Granddaughters; Heather Neely James, Ebony James, and Ivory James. He leaves behind a host of Nieces, nephews, cousins, great-grandchildren. Special mentions: Cousin/best friend; Noah Shumpert, CA Niece; Sharee Monti Hubbard (Monti Rock),MI Goddaughter; Makelia Thompson, TX Kerry Ware will leave a lasting impression on everyone that had the pleasure of knowing the strong, intelligent, funny, and kind man. Kerry never met a stranger and was the best at giving nicknames that embodied your personality and/or special experiences shared. In remembrance of Kerry have a “HAPPY EVERYDAY”.
