Dan Jordan Terrazas
December 26th, 1952 - February 5th, 2024
Celebration of Life Dan Jordán Terrazas, 71, departed from this earth on February 5, 2024 after a month’s long battle at Swedish Medical Center in Englewood, Colorado. Dan was born on December 26, 1952 in Delta, Colorado to Daniel and Elvira (Terrazas) Jordán. The family moved to Denver a few years later. They settled in Englewood, CO. where he graduated from Englewood High in 1971. Dan (D.J.) pursued a career with the railroad in 1974, beginning with the Rio Grande Railroad, then the Southern Pacific Lines Railroad and finally, retiring from the Union Pacific Railroad after putting in almost 40 years with the transportation department. He started out as a mechanical laborer and retired as a driver, picking up/dropping off crews all over Colorado. He received many awards of appreciation for his hard work and safety. He became great friends with many of his co-workers over the years. In 1982, he married Juanita Toole, the “one and only” love of his life as he would always say. Together, they had three children, Desireé (39), Olivia (37) and Augustin (31). His interests included playing pool, playing cards and taking your money! He loved gardening, spending time with family and cooking, which he was great at! He loved music, was a great dancer, and enjoyed reading. He would always say he knew a lot of useless information but he could easily talk to anybody about anything. He was a very social person who enjoyed watching all sports, but especially loved watching the Denver Broncos win! Danny is survived by his children; Desireé Terrazas, Olivia (Alex) Linnabary, Augustin (Norma) Terrazas, six grandchildren; Damien, Alfonzo, Isaac, Alexia, Ariana and Adalynn. His two sisters; Yolanda Jordán and Aracely Ruybal and many nieces, nephews and cousins. He is preceded in death by his parents, Daniel and Vera Jordán, plus many aunts, uncles and cousins. He will forever be in his family’s hearts and missed very much every day. !Orale! Memorial Service will be held at Romero Funeral Home at 4750 Tejon St. Denver, CO. 80211, on March 1, 2024 from 2-4pm (doors open at 1pm) Performed by Deacon Ruben Estrada. Reception to follow immediately afterward at The Hay Loft. 2950 W. Mississippi Ave. Denver, CO 80219
