Heather Elaine Mathews

Heather Elaine Mathews, 46, passed away on January 1, 2022, with her family at her side in Chandler, AZ. Heather was born on February 18, 1975 in Bitburg, Germany to (now) Dorothy Elaine Blanchard and David Alan McDaniel. She was raised by her mother and her step father Jimmy Blanchard. Heather is survived by her husband, Aaron Mathews, her children – Caitlin Rumbaugh, Marisa Miller, Haley Mercier, Brooke Mathews, and Jacob Mathews, as well as her son-in-law Shane Miller, and three grandchildren – Levi Rumbaugh, Rylie Rumbaugh, and Mya Miller. Heather is also survived by her four brothers, James Blanchard, Bobby Blanchard, Brian McDaniel, and Mark Blanchard. Heather lived most of her life in North Carolina, as well as several New England states before moving to Arizona. She was a brilliant woman who always put family first. She had a successful Information Technology career with multiple companies, and positively impacted everyone who knew her, personally or professionally. A Celebration of Life service will be held on March 19, 2022, at 2 pm at Lake Lynn Baptist Church. The address is 3363 Gillespie St, Fayetteville, NC 28306. After the service there will be light refreshments served in the fellowship hall and an opportunity to visit with the family.
