Robert Hammond 89 of Sun City Arizona, Passed on July 27, 2021. Robert was born on January 9, 1932 in Garrett, Indiana to Richard and Viola (Cartwright) Hammond. He married Jennie Atterholt on April 21, 1956. Robert Served in the United States Marine Corps and is a Korean War Veteran. He worked 35 years at Dana Corporation before retiring and moving to Arizona. Robert is survived by his wife Jennie, son & daughter in-law John and Laurie Hammond of Kendallville, IN., two daughters Debbie Babb and Geraldine Woods in Arizona, 6 grandchildren; Nick (Bobbie) Hammond, Allison Moore, Jami (Daniel) Brown, Daniel Babb, Jennie (Navon Weisberg), Babb and Michael (Rainy) McDavid. Along with, 18 great-grandchildren and 2 great-great grandchildren. Robert was preceded in death by his parents Richard and Viola Hammond, brother and sister in-laws; Raymond & Arlene, Jack & MaryJane and James & Alva. His daughter Carol McDavid and 2 grandchildren Jeri Hammond and Joshua Long. A Memorial Service will be held on Friday, August 6, 2021 from 10:30am ~ 12:30pm at Legacy Funeral Home 1374 N. Arizona Avenue, Chandler, AZ. 85225 Following Inurnment on Friday, August 6, 2021 from 1:00pm-1:30pm Veterans National Memorial Cemetery of Arizona 23029 N. Cave Creek Road, Phoenix, AZ 85024
