Cletus J. Rohleder, 84, of Mesa, AZ passed away Thursday, November 14, 2019 in his home. He was born on the farm near St. Peter, KS on August 1, 1935, son of Conrad and Catherine (Brungardt) Rohleder. He was married to EvaGene Siverson on November 23, 1971. In addition to creating a blended family, they shared a lifetime of varying experiences. Some of the most favorite memories were created during the trips the family of eight took in the converted F350 Ford cabover motorhome that Cletus and EvaGene designed, with enough sleeping space to accommodate the entire family and a couple of friends. Cletus enlisted in the Marine Corp in 1953 and after serving four years of active duty was honorably discharged as a Master Sergeant in 1957. During his service to his country, he served as a paratrooper in Korea. He subsequently served on the National Guard until January 1962. Cletus was a man of all trades and spent 27 years as a diesel mechanic. After a difficult illness, he could no longer work as a diesel mechanic so he decided to develop his interest in clocks into a profession and became a Horologist, eventually opening a very successful clock shop/jewelry store, Clocks By Cletus, in Thornton, CO. He and EvaGene enjoyed working in the shop together for 6 years, when they sold it and moved to Mesa, AZ. Cletus also was able to fulfill his lifelong dream of becoming a pilot, attaining his private pilot’s license and was the proud owner of a Cessna 150, selling it later and replacing it with a Cessna Skyhawk. His first love was flying, and he spent many hours in the air with his friend and flying instructor, John Dufour. In 2006, Cletus received a most precious gift, his wonderful Jack Russell Terrier puppy, Lady. She became his constant companion and the two of them were often seen riding his mobility scooter around the neighborhood. He is survived by his wife, EvaGene, of Mesa, AZ, three sons: Daniel Rohleder (Jody) of Johnstown, CO., Garry Rohleder (Karin) of Elbert, CO., and Randy Rohleder (Sandy) of Elizabeth CO and three daughters: Debbie (Keith) Rippy of Port Arthur, TX, Diane (Mike) Urland of Thornton, CO and Donna (Randy) Boone of Yuba City, CA, brothers-in-law, George, LeRoy, Melvin (Linda), and Arnie Siverson, sisters-in-law, Lavina (Allen) Domagala and Cindy (Duane) Sandvick, thirteen grandchildren, six great grandchildren, and host of nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his parents, his siblings and their spouses, Genevieve and Richard Bellerieve, Ben and Maxie Rohleder, Leonard and Mary Ann Rohleder, Dominic and Anna Mary Rohleder, mother and father in law, Richard and Geneva Siverson, brothers-in-law, AJ. and Steven Siverson, and a granddaughter, Heide. Services are being planned at a future date.
