Dolores Gillapsy
June 17th, 1940 - November 5th, 2018
In Loving Memory of our Beloved Wife, Mom, Grandma and Great Grandma Yoli Gillaspy was born Dolores Yolanda Bologna to Rafael ‘Ralph’ and Mercedes ‘Mercy’ Bologna on June 17, 1940 in Ray, Arizona. Married to Glen Gillaspy December 24, 1964 (2009), the union was blessed with three children: John, Rachele Golliher and Paul. With family by her side, she quietly departed this life Monday, November 5, 2018 at Brookdale Central Chandler Assisted Living in Chandler, Arizona. She is preceded in death by her daughter, Paula Jean and her parents, Ralph and Mercy. She was a 1958 graduate of Hayden High School in Hayden, Arizona. Her love of children led her to a fulfilling career as a PSA Aide at Lakeview Elementary School in Gillette, Wyoming for many years. Having a quality most people do not, she had the ability to make you laugh and made you feel as if you had always been friends. In her last few months she was the favorite of many at Brookdale and was cared for by an amazing team who not only adored her but made sure she was well taken care of – going above and beyond our expectations. Her beautiful life will forever be cherished in the lives of her children, grandchildren, great grandchildren, extended family and all who knew and loved her. She is survived by: Glen, her children: John and Barbie, Rachele and Patrick Golliher, Paul and Darcy; her sister Betty Ruiz and brother Rafael ‘Ralph’ and Judy Bologna; grandchildren: Dominic, Lacey and Mike Kelly, Travis Harding, Chloe and Gage; great grandchildren Logan, Devin, Jaden, Mason; nieces and nephews Nick and Nina Ruiz and Marc and Corrine Bologna. Yoli will also be lovingly remembered by her numerous nieces, nephews and great nieces and nephews. In her passing she will be missed by many but her legacy will continue on with her extended family and anyone who knew her. Please continue to carry on her sweetness and ability to make people laugh.
