Bob Clarke, beloved husband of Manijeh Shahidi Clarke, took his flight towards the realm of light on Sunday, September 22, 2019 surrounded by his loved ones. He was born April 5th, 1940 in Modesto California. He lived with his loving parents Bertha Clark (Mom) & Alfred Clark (Dad), his brother Donald Clarke, and sister Lynda Silveria. He married Donna Zeller on April 30th, 1966. They had one daughter, Elaine Kyle. They were married for 31 years; she passed away in 1997. He met Manijeh, and they were married on January 1, 2000. They have 2 children, Kaveh Shahidi & Bahar Schippel. Bob was a grandfather to Jaymes Kyle, Jennifer Kyle, Natascha Schippel, Jaileah Shahidi, & Carleah Shahidi. Bob studied at the University of Colorado. He received a Bachelor of Science on December 17th, 1982. Later on, he earned his Master of Arts degree in 1986. He was a software engineer, and served many years working for General Dynamics, Ford Aerospace, the Defense Advanced Research Projects Agency (DARPA), and the Defense Logistics Agency NORTHCOM. Bob served his family, his community, his faith, and he served his country for many years, achieving the rank of E6, Chief Petty Officer First Class in the US Navy. He became a member of the Baha’i community in 2005, and immediately went on Pilgrimage to Haifa, Israel with his family. He was very dedicated to his Faith and served the community. Bob loved reading, Porsches, motorcycles, country music, and pork chops. Bob had a very happy life. When he married Manijeh, she brought JOY into his life.
