Marsha Perkes Evans

Marsha P. Evans passed peacefully into the hands of God on December 22, 2018 in Mesa, AZ at the age of 75. Marsha is survived by her husband, Gary; children, Tonya, Aaron (Tara), Todd (Tiffany), Luke (Amy), and Marc; her sister Linda, and brother Stan (Brenda). She was grandmother to sixteen; Meranda, Jacob, Logan, Will, Ashlee, Ester, Alekzander, Aubrey, Charli, Kylee, Gretchen, Emily, Mahaila, Kylee, Hailee, Melanie. Marsha was born on the 11th of February, 1943 in Caliente, Nevada to Ernest Stanley and Afton Juanita Perkes. She graduated from Utah State University in 1965 with a degree in Medical Technology. After moving to Tooele, UT, Marsha began working for Tooele County Hospital as a Medical Technologist. She married Gary in 1979 along with her 3 children. Over 5 years, the couple welcomed two more children into their home and Marsha went about teaching them how to live, how to work, and how to love. Her children remember her as a strong, loving, driven mother who encouraged them to pursue their goals. Marsha was accomplished in music (singing and clarinet), and often sang in choirs. She was a beautiful, generous, loving, and kind individual who loved learning and who was passionate about service and raising her children in righteousness. She was an active and dedicated member of the The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints and often volunteered at the Mesa Cannery. A viewing followed by a celebration of life is scheduled for Monday, December 31st at 10:00 AM at The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints, located at 1430 N Recker Road Mesa, AZ 85205.
