Jeneane LaRue Thomas
October 26th, 1937 - December 30th, 2020
With heavy hearts, we announce the passing of Jeneane from this world on December 30, 2020 at 4:16 pm. Jeneane was born October 6, 1937, in San Pedro California as the second child of loving parents, Leonard (Bradshaw) and Billie (Carter Harris). Jeneane was the second oldest of ten siblings whom she loved deeply. She worked as a records clerk for the Mesa Police Department from 1956 to 1962. She met her eternal companion, Floyd Thomas in Long Beach California, and the two were married for time and all eternity on February 12, 1960, in the Mesa, Arizona Temple. The two were constant companions, sharing a deep love that was ever-growing through their more than sixty years of marriage. Jeneane and Floyd loved being the proud parents of ten children and raising a family in faith and with a knowledge of the Love of God. She valued relationships above all else. Being a mother was of central importance to Jeneane, who dedicated her life to creating a home for her own children and many other children in need of comfort, love, and protection. She valued her friendships deeply, always wanting those in her life to know they were loved, seen and remembered. Jeneane kept a calendar of birthdays and would dread the birthday of a loved one ever going by without sending out a carefully picked card with heartfelt intention. She worked tirelessly to help those in her extended family, ward, and community feel loved, valued and remembered. Jeneane had a constant concern for the small, the unseen, the weak and the lonely, and it was her mission in life to help those that could not help themselves in any way she could. Jeneane was blessed with a beautiful way with words. She always had the right thing to say, and would eloquently share her thoughts and feelings with others, especially if they were feeling sad or in need of loving counsel. She loved to record her thoughts in poems and heart-felt prose. She had a love of music that penetrated most aspects of her life, and songs from her childhood were so important to her heart. Mother found great comfort and meaning in her love of God and His plan for His Children. She had a deep testimony of the restored Gospel of Jesus Christ. She was faithful to her covenants and raised her children to deeply value a testimony of a Loving Heavenly Father. To be together forever with her family one day was of central importance to her. We, her family and husband, are so blessed to know that we have a mother on the other side of the veil waiting for us and protecting us until we can meet again. Jeneane was survived by her husband Floyd, sister Sue Lines, brothers Walter, Leslie, Frank, Bobby, Jimmy and Brett; her children Amira Stillwater, Christopher, Nevin, Melanie Smithson, Billie Schroder, Marci Stock, Staci Camba, Mike, Stephanie Cook and Richard and their loving spouses. She also leaves behind 50 grandchildren, 19 great-grandchildren, and many other “kids” who have called her mama and grandma. She is loved and cherished now and forever. We love you forever, Mama. She is preceded in death by her parents Billie Harris and Leonard Bradshaw, and her brothers Sam and Charles Bradshaw and many other loving family members and dear friends.
