Susan Marie Ducham

Susan Marie Ducham, age 61, passed away on December 8, 2021 after a brief battle with cancer. She is survived by her children, Corey and Shane Martin; her siblings, Tom (Deb) and Bob (Kelly) Ducham; and her beloved cats, Maggie, Biggs, Randy, and Louie. She is preceded in death by her parents, Roy & Vera Ducham, and her sister Kathy Williams. Sue was born and raised in Central Michigan, and graduated from Midland High School. In her childhood, she became an avid Detroit Tigers fan while watching them win the 1968 World Series. Throughout the years, she lived in Texas, Washington and Arizona, but she fell in love with Colorado after seven years there in the 1980s. She eventually moved from Michigan back to the Denver area in 2009. She loved to spend time with friends cheering on her beloved Denver Broncos, and managed to acquire season tickets to attend most of the games. She also had a lifelong passion for music that she passed onto her sons. She spent many nights attending concerts at Red Rocks of some of her favorites, including The Moody Blues, John Denver, and Paul Simon. As a hard-working single mother she began pursuing an advanced IT career path, starting classes at University of Phoenix in 2002. She received her Bachelor’s Degree in Information Technology in 2005 and went on to focus on website and database development for much of her career. Sue’s biggest passion in life was her cats, and the welfare of all animals. She donated her time and money to many animal rights causes, and was very active with local shelters and online communities focused on improving the lives of animals.
